The costal waters of Tenerife in the Canary Islands is one of the worlds best venues for big game fishing. Tenerife offers a wide variety of sea fishing opportunities and, with all year round sun, it's an ideal destination for a family holiday that is combined with 2 or 3 days on the water.

The blue marlin is the most highly prized trophy fish but there are plenty of other species to catch including white marlin, wahoo, dorado, tunas (skipjack, bigeye, yellowfin, albacore), bonito, sharks, big rays and lots more. It's simply a choice of technique, venue and cost. The rest is down to the skill and knowledge of the skipper.

There are a number of charter companies that operate from Puerto Colon, Los Cristianos and los Gigantes that provide a range of options and prices to suite your needs. These range from approximately 85 euros per person per day on a general all round 'tourist fishing trip' lasting about 6 hours to the more specialist big game skippers who charter their boats for 8 or 10 hours of trolling which will cost about 800 euros (for the boat per day).
