Catering for your self in Tenerife. The town of Los Cristianos offers a wide range of self catering holiday accommodation, mainly studio, one bed and two bed apartments. Originally a tiny fishing village, Los Cristianos has grown into a small and very popular coastal holiday resort in Tenerife.
Being the original primary touristic development in the south of Tenerife, it is no surprise that it has remained a favourite repeat destination for those who enjoy the charm and peaceful surroundings it has to offer. A complete contrast to the more lively Las Americas.
The small harbour is dotted with boats and yachts at their moorings and has a regular ferry service to the islands of La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro. There are also numerous commercial pleasure craft that provide fishing trips and short excursions to watch the dolphins and whales at sea.
Los Cristianos has a large sandy beach which is protected from the Atlantic Ocean by the large harbour wall. A promenade runs the full length of the beach and continues on to Las Americas. This is a popular walking area and offers a wide range of bars and restaurants where you can sit and watch the world go by.
Los Cristianos town offers a large range of shops within its main road and adjacent streets. It also has a Sunday market, next to Arona Gran hotel, which is very popular with tourists.
